A zero-waste advocate, she works meticulously with sleeping stock, deadstock fabrics and thrifted items.

Through diverse work experience, Louise discovered how much she loved teaching others the craft of sewing and how much she enjoyed being a part of expression through film and theater by working in the industry. She also wants to share the enthusiasm and passion she feels for her craft with others who also want to learn.

At Atelier Louise Hoving, you can learn to make clothing consciously and ethically, thereby contributing to the awareness of sustainable clothing and products. Louise also works on commissions related to wearable art, theater, and other art forms. She has been working in the field of theatre and film for the past 6 years.

Our studio

This cozy sewing studio in Amsterdam Oost is a place to learn, create, and connect. The space is intimate yet well equipped, with everything you need to feel comfortable and supported while sewing. Classes are taught in small groups, fostering a friendly, collaborative atmosphere where creativity thrives and everyone feels at home
